LOEL Wines Receive Gold Awards at the 16th Cyprus Wine Competition 2026

LOEL is proud to announce that its wines received important awards at the 16th Cyprus Wine Competition 2026, organized by the Department of Agriculture of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment. These achievements once again highlight the quality and excellence of LOEL’s wines.

The highest award of the competition went to ALASIA Commandaria 1984, which achieved the highest score among all entries with 97.60 points, earning the Grand Gold Medal.

Evambelos Gi Cabernet Shiraz 2020 also received a Gold Medal, with a score of 91.00 points.

The awards ceremony was held on 24 April 2026 at Opus Events Venue, attended by representatives of the wine industry and government officials.

The award for ALASIA Commandaria 1984 is of special significants. Aged for more than 40 years, this exceptional wine reflects the rich heritage of Commandaria and LOEL’s long-standing winemaking expertise. The award recognizes LOEL’s commitment to preserving and promoting one of Cyprus’s most treasured wines. These awards further strengthen LOEL’s reputation as a leading producer and ambassador of Cypriot wine, both in Cyprus and abroad.
